What You'll Do
- Conduct research in reinforcement learning, decision-making under uncertainty, and AI safety
- Develop novel algorithms for robotic automation in challenging environments
- Publish research at top conferences and contribute to open-source projects
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement research into products
- Help set the research agenda for the company
What We're Looking For
- Known to be an exceptional programmer with experience in AL/ML
- Capable of shipping clear and maintainable code quickly and with minimal bugs
- Proven experience working on complex problems in large distributed systems
- Experience with reinforcement learning and decision-making algorithms a plus
- Passion for developing AI systems that are safe, reliable, and beneficial a must

Our Hiring Process
1. Technical Repo Discussion
A (>30 min) video call to dive into your GitHub repos and discuss your design choices and approach to problem solving.
2. Remote Work Simulation
A (>30 min) job relevant collaborative assignment where you'll work with a potential team member on a previously fixed bug.
3. Engineering Panel
A (>2hr) meeting with the rest of your potential team members to get a better understanding of our culture.
4. Offer
We aim for the entire process to take less than 3hrs of your time from first call to offer.
